Medical Assistants are actively employed across a wide range of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, private practices, and ambulatory care centers. According to the American Heart Association (AHA), in 2018, more than half of all Medical Assistants worked in physicians’ offices or clinics. Other common employment settings included hospitals, offices of other health practitioners, and outpatient care centers.
